Floating Jetties

Floating Jetties

NTCPWC, the National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways and Coasts, plays a key role in the development of floating jetties in India. They provide technical support for the design and implementation of these structures, particularly for fishing harbors, marinas, and other water-based facilities. NTCPWC provides guidelines and technical support for the development of floating jetties, which are platforms supported by pontoons and used in various settings like fishing harbors, marinas, and waterdromes.

  • Development of Ship Repair Facility at Pandu, Guwahati, Assam
  • Dredging in approach channel, turning circle, berth pockets, and surrounding of landing pontoon at Ghogha Ro-Ro Terminal

Condition Assessment

  • Condition Assessment of Concrete in the Reinforced Concrete Structural Elements using
    • Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test (UPV),
    • Core drilling Test,
    • Carbonation Test,
    • Half-Cell Potential Test and
    • Evaluation of chlorides and pH through concrete powder samples
  • Processing the NDT measured data, preparation and submission of detailed report on NDT including condition assessment.
  • Suggesting suitable repair/rehabilitation methodology with detailed Bill of Quantity for the distressed RC structural elements.
