The IIT Madras Online MBA operates mainly following 4 layered learning process

Yes, participants can choose from a wide range of elective courses across various functional areas, subject to credit requirements. Instead of electives students can also choose Project Digital Transformation for a function area.
Live online sessions will be broadcast from studios at IIT Madras using a suitable technology platform, directly to participants' devices.
Participants retain lifetime access to IIT Madras email, but Moodle access is available only until the end of the program.

II. Saturday (evening): 2 sessions (6:00 pm –7.30 pm; 7.45 pm to 9:45 pm)
III. Sunday (morning): 2 session (10:00 am - 11:30 am; 11.45 noon – 1.15 pm)

Additional time has to be spent for carrying out the project work, case studies and for completing project assignments given. It is envisaged that in first year 8-10 hour weekly effort would be required by working professionals increasing to 15-18 hours in second year. Overall it is expected that working professionals need to spend roughly 1000 hours in completing the Online MBA course
Participants would attend on-campus immersion modules six times over two years, starting with the inaugural immersion module.
On-campus immersion modules focus on immersive learning of concepts requiring interpersonal engagement, utilizing campus facilities for practical applications like simulations and experiments.These immersion program would facilitate bonding between fellow students, create competitive and cooperative spirit amongst program participants

I. Minimum of 2 years full-time work experience post-graduation by June 15, 2024.
